Norah Jo officially turned 1-year-old today! Can you believe how much she's changed (pictures are in chronological order clockwise from top left)? I can't either. This lucky duck got to celebrate her birthday in Disneyland. Pictures to come.
Here are a few things about Norah at 1 year:
-She has 8 teeth
-She dances by swaying her hips side-to-side
-Has started to bite her brother as a form of defense (so it begins)
-She usually doesn't hold still longer than 3 seconds
-Loves to walk by holding onto Mom or Dad's fingers
-Will not turn down any kind of food except peas
-Loves bathtime and when Mom sings the Rubber Ducky Song
-Sucks her thumb and twirls her hair when she's tired or needs comfort
-Mom is still her favorite
-Says hi, dada, mama, yay and other consanants
-Covers her eyes when playing peek-a-boo
-Has squealing wars with her brother
-Wakes up once a night
-Loves shoes
-Loves taking any cute bow or headband out of her hair
-knows how to turn pages of books but usually doesn't hold still long enough to get through them
She is such a joy in our lives. There can be a lot of frustrating moments as a mom of young kids, but it is all worth it. Especially when you get tight hugs and open-mouthed kisses. When you open the bedroom door and she acts like she hasn't seen you in months. Yep, its all worth it.
