Giving Thanks

We were able to spend Thanksgiving with Benj's side this year. Benj's wonderful mother Marcy cooked a fabulous feast and everything was so delicious. We enjoyed the company of Benj's grandparents as well as his sister and family and also nephew Chase.

Benj and Max with Grandpa Jack.

Photos (from my phone)

We also watched the Macy's Day Parade, some fun board games, and I even got to sit and play the piano for a bit. Feeling so grateful for the life I have and those who are a part of it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Max at 2 Months

 Max is 2 months old!

 Some things about Max:

He is a super smiley guy. Lights up when someone is talking to him. He'll talk back as if having a conversation with us.

He has slept through the night! Not consistently yet but I'll take what I can get!

He is starting to wear 6 month clothes and size 2 diapers. He's growing like a weed.

Likes:
-his binkie
-stretching and kicking his legs
-sucking on his fist
-playing pat-a-cake
-his crib
-sitting in his infant seat

Dislikes:
-waiting too long for his food
-being super tightly swaddled
-getting his nails clipped
-being in his car seat too long

Brother and sister decided to get in on the photoshoot.

They sure love their baby brother.
Happy 2 Months!

Birthday Celebrating

Norah certainly had fun celebrating her birthday this year. This girl got spoiled!

A few days before her birthday she woke up to a little surprise . . . Disney on Ice tickets (and a crown)!
The kids had a great time (although this picture was taken afterward and they were pretty tired). They especially loved the Lion King and Little Mermaid. Norah liked to spin around like the ice skaters.

On her actual birthday she woke up to balloons!
We had a birthday breakfast before Daddy had to go to work. She also got to open a few presents - a princess puzzle and flashcards.

She loved her birthday french toast.

During the day we went to Toys R Us and let her pick out a toy. She chose an Ariel doll (noticing a trend?). Later we picked up some cupcakes.

Finally we had a little get together with family on Sunday night.
Norah and Logan and doing a Hip-Hip-Hooray!
Funny picture of some our attendees.

She opened more presents - including a baby doll in a handmade blanket, snow stuff, Minnie Mouse doll, and several adorable outfits.
Good thing birthdays only come once a year. ;)

Norah is 2

Our little princess is officially 2 years old!
Here are a few things I love about our Norah girl:

She is a snuggler. She still loves to be held (even more so since Max was born), and gives the best hugs and kisses. She loves to kiss everyone in our family, but her little brother definately gets the most.

She is officially off her bottle. We were giving her a bottle with her milk in it until just a couple weeks ago. She's had a sippy cup for juice for a while now, but was having a hard time drinking her milk in it. She's now doing great. Yay!

She is a smartie pants. I am amazed at how much she talks and understands. I can have a conversation with her! She knows her colors and is starting to recognize letters, numbers, and shapes. Her favorite number is 8. She loves books and one of my favorite times of day is reading her a book and singing to her right before her nap.

She wants to do everything big brother Logan is doing. She'll copy his words and actions and follow him around everywhere. They get along pretty well and its been fun to see them old enough to play together.

Norah has shown me how different is it to raise a girl. She is sensitive yet extremely stubborn. She can throw a tantrum better than anyone I've ever seen. We've quickly exited out of public places because of her screaming. Yet when she's calm, she is as sweet as pie.

She is a princess (Daddy's nickname for her since birth). She loves anything girly. When putting this dress on her for pictures, she started twirling and said, "pwincess". She loves hats and shoes and puts them on whenever she can. She gets concerned when her hair bow/clip falls out of her hair. She loves to brush her hair and watch Mommy put on her makeup (I let her put on the chapstick).

So grateful for this little sweetheart in our lives. Happy Birthday Norah!

Halloween 2013

We had a super fun Halloween this year! Both Logan and Norah were really into wearing their costumes and trick-or-treating, which made it all the more fun.

I can't believe how much candy these two got. Their first trick-or-treating experience was at Daddy's work party (Yes, they are in a Barbie box - Norah was especially entranced).
We had a "mummy" lunch complete with mummy hot dogs, ghost bananas on a stick and pumpkin cheese!
On Tuesday night we carved pumpkins

Logan drew the face on his all by himself.

Hard to tell but we had the pumpkins lit in this picture. We turned off the lights to get the real effect. The kids loved them.

Logan did great in his Halloween program and got even more candy from his classmates and teacher.

Singing, "I'm a Mean Old Witch" - I remember learning this song when I was in preschool.

We went to Arctic Circle for a Spooky Halloween lunch. Logan mostly wore the mask on top on his head. This was a rare moment when he put it all the way on.

I tried getting some pictures of the kids later on at the house.

Mimicking Mom because I was making funny faces and noises to get them to look at the camera. Still didn't work.

A better shot of Logan with the witch mask he made at school.

Norah makes a cute witch too.

Going for a different angle with my camera. Logan looks like a bobble-head in this photo. Haha.
This is the pose Norah made for me when I told her to fly.

Captain America running into the leaves. Both kids would start in the back corner of the yard (where Norah is standing) and run all the way over to the other side. I made Logan keep his sucker out of his mouth while running after this photo was taken.

Here comes Supergirl!
Max was here too but I didn't really dress him up. He enjoyed trick-or-treating in the baby carrier and taking long naps.

Happy Halloween!
