Backyard

There's nothing quite like summer evenings in your own backyard.

He wouldn't stop kicking his feet. Just itchin' to get moving.

As much as I like summer evenings, I am so done with HOT summer afternoons. Bring on fall and its cooler temps!

3 More Weeks

Whew - my goal was to update my blog and I finally did it! I'm hopeful a new little face will appear in the next few weeks.

Baby boy - we are officially FULL TERM!

We got to see you on the ultrasound and you were nice and squished. :) We immediately saw your cute little face and the nurse said, "He already has chubby cheeks". We measured you and you are around 7 lbs. I guess we'll see if you hit the 9 lb mark like your brother and sister!

We have a list of things to do like completing your nursery, washing your clothes and bedding, and getting the car seat and hospital bag ready. So would you be ever so kind and wait a couple more weeks until we get those done?
Can't wait to meet you!

Bike Ride!

We have been wanting a bike trailer for at least a year now, and we finally got one! To say to kids were excited to ride in it would be a big understatement.

Dad took them around the neighborhood and said it was a little hard going uphill back to the house. Ha - I don't blame him! The kids are so lucky to have this great daddy.

A Short Visit

We made a quick trip to Idaho Falls for a funeral. Benj's sweet aunt Sandy passed away. It was a lovely tribute to her and she will be greatly missed.

Since I didn't get any pictures of the kids with my parents on the 4th, I wanted to made sure I got some this time around.

This is how I carry Norah lately. I think she enjoys my little shelf to sit on.

Logan was especially happy and wanted me to take pictures of him by the flowers. I quickly seized my opportunity, even with his chocolate-covered face and insisting he hold a dice.

For the Birds

I bought our family a thing called the pass of all passes, which allows us to get into different venues around Utah. Every Tuesday we can get in the Tracy Aviary for free, so we finally put our passes to use and went this week!

Logan was on the lookout for the flamingos.

He also loved the toucan and the way it squawked. He's been playing a game on the computer learning about different birds and their habitats. He would tell me, "This bird lives in the jungle and eats fruit and bugs." So smart.

He also loved the Bird Show where they introduced 4-5 different birds to the audience. He thought it was great when they flew over our heads and landed on the kids' arms. Grandma Croft would've loved that. ;)

Norah was so fun to watch. She really loved pointing to the birds and telling me their sounds. She's especially cute when saying "whoo-whoo".
Once again another fun activity on a hot day! Luckily most of the park was shaded.
