Loganisms

Logan catches on to phrases fast. Apparently I've been saying "Oh goodness!" after almost every one of his cute sneezes. When whenever someone sneezes or makes another bodily function noise, he exclaimes, "Goodness!"

He requests 2 songs every night before bed: I Can (Families can be Together Forever) and Home (I am a Child of God). See if you remember the songs and the phrases he gets these titles from.

PS - We're moving this weekend so we will probably be without internet for a few days. Check back soon (hopefully) for more Bradshaw updates.

I Love to See the Temple

We went for a walk here.

Logan knows what the temple is and he wanted a closer look. I hope he is this eager to go to the temple throughout his life.

We're Moving!

Say hello to our new home.

We're just a little bit excited.

Home hunting started when we found out we were pregnant. Nothing was working out and I was getting frustrated. You'd think it would be easy to find a place to rent, but we never found one that we loved.

We called on this place last week and walked through it. Benj and I both knew it was the one for us without saying a word to each other. We found out it was ours yesterday and we move in at the beginning of September.

We're sad to leave our current ward and neighbors behind. We aren't too sad leaving our little apartment. I look forward to having a yard and room for both of my kids to grow. There's a park right behind us. Its in a quiet cul-de-sac and the dynamic of the neighborhood seems to be lots of young families.

I'll keep you updated on the inside of the home once we move in and get it beautified!

Sleeping?

We're moving Logan into a "big boy" bed to prepare for baby girl. We converted the crib to a toddler bed because we thought the transition would be good for Logan. We'll be moving him into a twin bed in hopefully a month.

So far Logan goes down perfectly at bedtime. Naptime is another story . . .
The thing is he's pretty sneaky about making these messes. It's happened about 3 times in the past week. I think he went down pretty good this day but woke up and started getting into everything. I know that he slept for a while, but I have no idea how long.
A day or two later, I put him down and heard him talking for a little while (he does this often). Little did I know he was once again getting into everything. He wore himself out and slept on the floor. At least he slept right? :)

So all you moms out there, what do I do next? Childproof his drawers and take all of his books and toys out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Park Review - Castle Heights Playground

We've been to several parks but I always forget to bring my camera. Last week we were in the Farmington area so I decided to take Logan to the "Castle Park". He was so excited when he saw it. What kid wouldn't? Its a kid's playground paradise!

The picture below right is the toddler area (recommended for ages 2-5). The main toy is mainly for ages 5 and up. Logan did well on most things. Its nice and enclosed so that made me feel like he was more safe.
Most of my pictures are the back side of Logan. He was running everywhere!

Overall: Loved this park.

Time to go: Definately go in the early morning or early evening. It was HOT by 10. Shady trees on the side of the playground and several tables for eating. Lots of grass to run around on.

Age: This park is definately for older kids, but because it wasn't busy, Logan did well on it.
Extras: Tennis shoes work best in most playgrounds. I saw several kids with sandals/flip flops constantly taking them off because there was something in their shoe. :)
