August Instagram

Row 1: Zucchini, Indoor road, Kindergarten list
Row 2: Ogden temple, Bees game, bee sting (I prefer the game!)
Row 3: Sand castle, Roommate dinner, more garden bounty

Also, Max likes to eat dirt . . .
So much zucchini calls for zucchini bread!
Ogden temple open house with grandparents
 Color run befores and afters!

Museum of Natural Curiousity
Eating wood chips at the park
 Aquarium (the kids loved it!)
Official first day of school (and an old shirt that Logan had picked himself. How could I say no?)

A Few More . . .

 Pictures from August:

Logan grew this giant sunflower over the summer. His preschool teacher, Miss Lesli, gave him a seedling that was only a couple inches tall. It was so fun to watch it grow and we plan on keeping the seeds for next year to plant them again!

These two can be really sweet to each other. I love watching these little moments.

And busy bodies in the tub. Max thought it was great to join the big kids!

1st Day of School

My baby is now a kindergartener!

He had no fear going to the "big school". I'm grateful how close it is.

He has a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Robbins. He doesn't know anyone in his class (all his friends are in morning) but he doesn't seem to mind.

So proud of this smart boy and I know he'll have a great year!

He found a great place on his teacher's alphabet rug (note the letter he's sitting on).

Posing at a desk. He was very excited about his classroom.
After school (the first official day was Thursday the 28th) he told me about recess, learning shapes, and how his teacher read Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten.

Happy 1st Day Logan!

Max at 11 Months

Here's a look at Max at 11 Months!
(isn't he the most handsome baby in the world?)

My little buddy really loves his momma. His only word that he says over and over is "mama". I'm beginning to think "mama" has many more meanings to him, like "I want this!" and "More!" He's gives kisses when asked and is very loving.

Max got his first haircut and no longer has a comb over. I can do it in a cute faux hawk too. By the way, he was feeling a little out of sorts the day I took these photos. I think he has more teeth on the way. :(

Always my busy-body. Emptying everything and climbing into everything. He loves table food, swinging and going down the slide, following the big kids around, cruising along furniture (no first steps yet), and looking at himself in the mirror.  Everyone who meets him comments on his happy disposition and sweet smile.

That said, here's a little smile to end the post. Happy 11 months Max!

Ogden Temple Open House

The kids and I got to visit the Ogden temple open house twice in August, once with Grandma and Grandpa Croft, and once with Grandma Bradshaw and Krogues. It was such a wonderful experience. Logan and Norah loved looking at the font and I loved the beautiful artwork and details. It never ceases to amaze me how much work goes into building these beautiful temples.

This boy was interested in the movie and kept saying things matter-of-fact-ly like,"Mom, that's Joseph Smith" or "That's President Monson." I love that he's picked up on things he has been taught. Such a good boy.

A few days later with the Krogues/Bradshaws

Benji got to come this time too. :)

Dinner at Outback afterward. Love experiencing these events together!

Bees Game

A Bees game is always on my summer bucket list. We had a great time and even got free hot dogs! The kids lasted longer than we thought and the weather was perfect!

Such cute boys.

Pineview Reservoir

We took a quick little day trip to Pineview Reservoir. It was our first time visiting and we were pleasantly surprised by the family friendly beach! We'll definitely visit again!

Max's first time at the beach!

Grandma Croft and Uncle Andy joined us too!

Look closely at Max's mouth - he enjoyed sampling the sand, over and over again.

Who knew something like this existed a half hour from our house!
