Fun Friday - Museum of Ancient Life

I've decided that I will take Logan to do something fun on Friday (hence the title of this post). We went to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point. A little bit of a drive but the kids did great.

Logan was absolutely fascinated with everything. There were a few places in the musem that were a little scary for him. The whole place was pretty dark so these pictures aren't the greatest. Logan was way too busy looking at everything to pose for the camera.

This girl did great. I think she was pretty interested in this place too. I wish the museum was closer. I ended up nursing her in the car before our long drive home (35 mins each way).

Logan enjoyed the little play area.
Reading the sign - my boy is so smart. :)

Speaking of reading signs, Benj was disappointed in me for not reading many signs. He's the type to read all the facts and info. I told him to try to read signs with a toddler and 3 month old. I was proud of myself just being able to go alone!

At the end was a fun sandpit where the kids could dig/brush off dinosaur bones. Logan LOVED it, although he needs to work on his brushing technique. He was getting sand everywhere.

We'll definately be going again!

Norah at 3 Months

Didn't I just do a 2-month post? Geez, that last month flew by. Almost every day I whimper to Benj how I just want to freeze my children the age they are RIGHT NOW. They're getting too big gosh darnit.

This baby girl is growin' by the day, mostly in the cheeks and thighs department.

She is really one of the most alert babies ever. When she's awake, she follows my voice everywhere, practically turning over (she's thisclose). Norah loves to watch her older brother. I think its with a cautionary (is that a word??) eye because he tends to be a little, um, clumsy.

One of my most favorite parts of the day is getting her out of the crib after waking up. She's all smiles. She "talks" the most when she's on her changing table. Probably telling me all about her dreams.

She has a certain way of holding her when she wants to go to sleep. Criteria is: snuggling in a blanket, laying down facing mommy's chest, with a binkie in her mouth. I sing to her for about 30 seconds and she's usually out.

Norah is usually content anywhere, well, for a certain period of time. As long as she has me in view, she does pretty good in her car seat, swing, or on a blanket. She definately lets me know when she's bored or when she can't see me.

I think my favorite feature of Norah's are her eyes. I love those baby blues! Its hard to choose. Her cheeks, little lips, tummy, button nose, and tiny toes are constantly getting kisses.

Happy 3 months baby girl!

Love you more than last month.

Blessing Dress

I thought Norah's blessing dress was absolutely precious. It was made by a distant relative whom I have never met. She heard about our need and offered to make it for Norah. Such a wonderful gift that I will cherish always.

Norah looked so sweet in it.

Especially sweet with those smiles.

Norah's Blessing

Sweet Norah was blessed by her daddy on February 5th. It was such a wonderful day for our family.

Benj gave a beautiful blessing. I'm so thankful for the priesthood.

And I'm thankful I get to be this little angel's mama.
Logan was a good boy most of the day, although he thought it would be nice to talk during the entire blessing.

Here's Norah with my parents on the left, Benj's grandparents in the middle, and his mom on the right. All so wonderful and supportive.

With sweet Grandma Bradshaw.

Giving Grandpa smiles was a sure way to melt his heart.

Thank you to everyone who supported us. We have the best family and friends in the world.

More pictures of Norah in her blessing dress to come tomorrow!

Aquarium

Lets face it - Logan hasn't gotten as much attention since his little sister came along. Benj and I decided to take him to the aquarium and boy, it was crowded. Never ever go on a Saturday in winter. But you probably already knew that.

Here's Benj and Logan checking out the sting rays.

Norah wanted to get out of her stroller and look around.

Doesn't his hair kill you? I got it cut over the weekend. Much less poofy now. This little stinker enjoyed the freedom of no stroller (we have yet to find a good double one). The first half he did great but the last half was awful. He threw an on-the-floor screaming tantrum and thought it was fun to run away from mom and dad. Plus no nap. He crashed before we got back on the interstate.

Kids 3 and under are free - I love that! Annual memberships are only $20/person. You'd get your money's worth after 3 visits. Too bad its kind of a drive.

We've learned a few things next time we go.

Frosty

Logan made his first snowman last week.

Well, I rolled the snowman and Logan helped put on his "stuff". He got the snowman gear for Christmas.

It was an afternoon well spent and Logan had a ball. He knew exactly where everything went since we've drawn 100+ snowmen in our house (no joke).

It was about time we got outside and enjoyed the sunshine.
