First Haircut

Since when is my BABY old enough for a haircut? I can't believe how big he is.
BEFORE

DURING . . .
He held still a lot better than I thought he would. He was entertained with cookie cutters, a movie, and watching our cute neighbor friend Abbi.
Special thanks to my sweet friend Shanna for cutting Logan's hair. She was so cute with him.

AFTER!
He looks like a little boy to me in this picture. And yes folks, we have a pretty blond kid. We call it light brown. It comes from our parents, because Benj and I were never this light as kids.

Ok, I seriously can't get enough of how CUTE this kid is. I may be biased, but Logan is definately the most handsome kiddo I've ever seen.

Oh Canada

Toronto - thegazz.com

Benj is on his first business trip this week . . . to Canada of all places. He's there for training. I'm not used to him being gone. We've only been apart for 1 day at most. I told him to take lots of pictures so we'll see what he comes up with. :) Have a good trip honey!

11 Months

Logan is officially 11 months and it's time for his monthly review.
LEARNED:
-how to open drawers and cupboards by pulling on knobs
-that a ball is a very fun toy
-that closet doors = pinched fingers (poor kid)
-how to head butt
-how to look especially cute when he's approached by strangers
-how to stand pretty well. Hasn't taken those first steps yet
ENJOYS:
-YoBaby yogurt
-graham crackers
-string cheese
-when Mommy and Daddy lay on the ground so he can attack
-stealing Mom's food (begs like a dog)
-long baths and sucking on his washcloth (which grosses me out)
-watching animals
-his baby videos
-going to the park
DISLIKES:
-bumping, falling, pinching, or basically pain in general
-his vitamin drops (which is wierd since he's been taking them since he was born)
-being in his high chair after he's done eating
I can't believe he'll be 1 next month. This year really has gone by fast. I'm really looking forward to this summer because I know Logan will be walking and able to play a lot more than last year. He has his daddy's cleverness and his mommy's temperment. He'll drop anything for Cheerios. He laughs the most around Daddy, but loves to hug and cuddle with Mommy. He's into everything and will be the kid that is constantly keeping me on my toes. We love him and are so lucky he's ours.
HAPPY 11 MONTHS LO LO BEAR.

First ZOO Visit

Last Friday was the best weather we've had so far this year. Grandma and Grandpa Croft came down to visit from Idaho and we went to the zoo! I don't know why but I've been wanting to take Logan for a while. I was even tempted last year when he was a few months old! I'm glad we waited because Logan could not get enough of the animals.

photo from hoglezoo.org
This picture makes me laugh because it was my MOM who was anxious to see the animals. I barely got her to stay long enough to take the picture before she whisked Logan off.
Grandma and Logan watching the monkeys. These were Logan's favorite animals. He even made monkey sounds "oo oo oo". I can't get him to do them again. I guess it only happens when he sees real monkeys.
These elephants were my favorites. They were so much fun to watch. The baby girl elephant is named Zuri and she's even younger than Logan!
Look how cute she is!
Logan was too fascinated to look at the camera.

This is how we rolled most of the time.

The giraffes had a baby too!

Grandpa and Logan

Logan wouldn't stand by the orangutan chart. He kept on trying to crawl on the dirty ground. He's between an infant and teen orangutan.

We highly recommend you go. Next time we'll try the train. :)
