Norah at 5 Months

Can you believe this girl is 5 MONTHS?

Oh Norah, there are so many things I love about you right now.

I love how you are discovering new things every day.

You love getting attention. You break out in a big grin whenever someone starts talking to you.

You're such a content baby. You love hanging out on a blanket. You especially love grabbing mommy's face and pulling her in for a "kiss".

You are drooling and drooling. I just know those teeth are going to pop out soon.

You are a routine baby. I'm a routine mother. We go well together.

Mommy's favorite time of day is rocking you to sleep. You love your binkie and your crib. You don't sleep well anywhere else.

Please oh please don't grow up too fast. If I could freeze time I would do it right now. I LOVE this stage.

And I love you.

Happy 5 Months!

The Zoo!

Benj had a great birthday as well, although not as documented (sorry babe). The kids and I took him to lunch at Cafe Zupas and later we went to Benihana. The Bradshaws usually celebrate around food. Haha.

Saturday was our get together with family. We went to the zoo!

My favorites are always the monkeys. These guys were quite entertaining.

Norah got out of the stroller to take a look at the elephants with me and Grandma.

I thought Logan looked especially cute in this next shot (smiling and looking at the camera are pretty rare).

He was in heaven riding the carousel and would've been content to ride it all day. In fact, he threw a fit when he had to get off.

So glad the cousins could come with us.

My favorite picture of the day.

After the zoo, we went over to Chuck A Rama where we met a few more family members for lunch. I left the camera in the car and was also busy feeding a fussy baby and getting Logan to eat in his chair. Thank goodness for loving, understanding family who help out so so much. It was nice to have a more low-key birthday and not have to worry about decorating or food. Thanks everyone for the great gifts and for making this day extra special!

Birthday Festivities

Logan had his birthday in the middle of the week, plus daddy had a 12-hour work day. Kind of hard to celebrate, but I did my best to make it special.

He woke up to balloons everywhere.

and a special birthday sign and a few presents to open.

Once he caught sight of the presents, he wanted to open them right then and there. I let him go for it. He got water play toys, cups, and big boy underpants!

He also had his favorites for breakfast - mickey mouse pancakes, bacon, eggs, fruit and chocolate milk. He was lucky and got to blow out candles at every meal!

Lunch

Notice his mouth in this picture - he blows up instead of out!

Dinner

Once daddy got home we showed him his big present - a new water station! We've played with it everyday!

Last but not least, a big birthday cake! He even joined in on singing Happy Birthday to himself.

Next up: Daddy's birthday and the zoo!

Logan Facts

Facts about Logan
at age 3
This little man is growing before my eyes. He is learning and absorbing so much. He loves to sing and always makes me smile when I can hear him singing from the other room. He stays on pitch pretty well, but likes to go extra high on the high notes. Some of his favorite songs are: The ABC Song, Heavenly Father Loves Me (The Tree Song), Families Can Be Together Forever (I Can Song), Love One Another and the Elmo's World Theme Song.

Speaking of Elmo, he's a big fan of Sesame Street, Word World, SuperWhy, and Curious George.
He is the pickiest child in the world. His favorite foods are: Carnation Instant Breakfast, pancakes and other breakfast food, hot dogs, apple juice, goldfish, shredded cheese, rice, and chinese noodles. I cannot get him to eat any vegetables besides potatoes and he's pretty picky about fruit too. It drives me up the wall, and I'm praying this phase will pass soon.
He has learned how to spell a few things, mainly his name. He recognizes all of the letters and will point them out everywhere. He tries counting to 20, usually missing a few of the -teens. He has an amazing memory and recites his favorite books, shows, and songs. He also never forgets when I promise him a treat.
He's a clever little stink and knows how to get into everything. Our saving grace are doorknob baby locks. He takes full advantage of doors accidently being left open and is constantly trying to open the pantry. He still naps about every other day. He at least has "quiet time" every afternoon. We can often hear him thumping around upstairs after being put to bed.
He has taught me to embrace the outdoors. He is totally in his element when he can roll, jump, run, bike, swim, kick, throw, etc. He notices every airplane in the sky and bug on the ground. The only way I can get him to leave the park is if I promise him a popcicle. He has always loved walks and now enjoys them with his little sister.
He is a sweet big brother. He leaves Norah alone most of the time, but will tell me, "baby's crying" when she's sad. He likes to observe her and gets rather concerned when she grabs at his books or toys. We always let Norah "give" Logan a kiss and he'll giggle at her.
He's learning how to say his prayers and he always ends with, "thankful for Jesus. help us be like Jesus." So so sweet. He LOVES nursery and knows to hang his picture up on the fridge when we get home from church.
He's quite the shy little guy and doesn't like confrontation. I think this age marks the process of learning to share and play with others. Logan will start preschool this fall and I think he'll love it. Before preschool comes potty training. I bought him some underpants but need to commit to training him. Wish us luck.

I am so grateful to be Logan's momma. He's such a fun, cooky, stubborn, adorable kid.

Love you Logan!

Discovery

Baby girl made a new discovery . . .

She grabs for her toes as soon as she's on the changing table. She can always manage grabbing the left but the right foot tends to be more tricky.

Next step - tasting 'em!
