Busy Norah

Norah has a pretty full schedule this year. She has music, preschool and dance class. Busiest 3-year-old I know!

First up music class with Miss Karen.

Max wanted to join in on the picture.

And he's obsessed with the neighbor's cat. Ha!

Norah went to preschool the next day. She's been waiting 2 long weeks since Logan started school. No fear at all. She has a great teacher and is in a class full of boys. She and another little girl are the only ones in the class.

Last but not least, dance class. This is her second year and she loves it. She takes from my cousin Kalie.

I think she's going to have a busy, fun year!

Back to School

Let the school year begin! Logan has been more than excited to start 1st grade. I have had a little bit harder time realizing he'll be gone for the majority of the day. However, our theme for the school year is to BE BRAVE, so it can apply to all of us!

We had our traditional back-to-school dinner to make the kids feel like they're starting off on the right foot.

Morning came and this kid was ready to go. He picked out his outfit, his lunch, and marched into the school without a moment's hesitation.

I went inside with him to make sure he found the right classroom and got situated.

His classroom was decked out in a really fun Jungle Book theme.

Cookies after school and a little conversation about his first day. He loved it! He specifically mentioned it was fun to have 3 recesses.
I know he'll do great this year. Way to go Logan!

School is Out!

It has been fun to watch this kid finish kindergarten this week!

Logan did great in the kindergarten program. His sweet teacher also retired this year.

Grandma Bradshaw also came to support Logan.

Logan with his cute teacher.

I saw this cute idea on Pinterest and made a walk of fame leading up to our door when Logan came home from school.

He loved walking up and reading about all his accomplishments.

I also fixed up a quick and easy after school treat.

Safe to say he had a great year. Great job Logan! Hello summer!

1st Day of School

My baby is now a kindergartener!

He had no fear going to the "big school". I'm grateful how close it is.

He has a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Robbins. He doesn't know anyone in his class (all his friends are in morning) but he doesn't seem to mind.

So proud of this smart boy and I know he'll have a great year!

He found a great place on his teacher's alphabet rug (note the letter he's sitting on).

Posing at a desk. He was very excited about his classroom.
After school (the first official day was Thursday the 28th) he told me about recess, learning shapes, and how his teacher read Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten.

Happy 1st Day Logan!

Preschool Graduation

Logan is officially done with preschool!

He took from Miss Lesli at Magic Moments Preschool. She was a great teacher and taught him a lot. She always had fun activities and art for the kids. Logan is also doing really well with his letters and sounds. I'm so thankful for educators who take time for my kids and love them too!

His graduation was held at the library. Here he is reciting his part about the letter "D".

They sang a bunch of songs (that I got on video and will try to post for the grandparents).

Here he is after he received his diploma. He also loved his graduation cap.

All the kids from both the AM and PM classes. We hope to see a few of them next year in kindergarten!

My big 5-year-old. He was so excited and I'm glad he felt so special.

I tried to get a few more photos outside but he was so done with pictures. I think it was partly because he had a huge sugar cookie waiting for him in the car.

Caught a smile!

Happy Graduation Logan!

First Day

Logan did it! His first day of preschool!

He was so excited to wear his backpack that he kept it on for an hour before we even had to leave. This year he is attending Magic Moments Preschool with Miss Lesli.

When I dropped him off he got his picture taken and made a "train" with the other students. They choo-choo'ed their way into the classroom and he waved to me and he passed by. When I asked what he learned about when he was done, he told me "blue horses and trains". It's hard to get details from a 4-year-old.

Later that night we had a back-to-school dinner. We reminded Logan to be kind and to believe in himself. Fitting because he learned about the train that says, "I think I can."
I think he'll have a great year! Good luck Logan!

Preschool Fieldtrips and Graduation

Logan's last month of school was filled with field trips, friends, and fun!

At the nursery. Logan especially liked feeding the fish.

 At Wheeler Farm

At his luau graduation. The kids performed songs and received a certificate from their teacher.

With his teacher Miss Patti. She was so great for Logan. He LOVED school.

First year of school complete.
I can't believe how much Logan has grown in a year. I hope he always keeps his love of learning.
