Fall Family Pictures

For anyone interested in Bradshaw family overload, continue to scroll down!

We got our pictures taken by my lovely cousin, who was amazing with the kids and definately knows her stuff.  Check her out here. We were able to travel up to Sardine Canyon, which has some of the most amazing fall color I've ever seen!

Anyway, I'll let the pictures do the talking:

Thanks again Jodi! It takes a very talented photographer to get multiple shots of the kids smiling and looking at the camera!

Fieldtrip: Pumpkin Patch

Norah and I have enjoyed tagging along to all of Logan's fieldtrips so far this year. This week we went to the Pack's Pumpkin Patch.

I took a few pictures of the kids before the rest of the class arrived (although neither of them really wanted to look at the camera).

Very mesmerized by the pumpkin.

I love this photo - they're all shouting "pumpkin!".

After a little hay maze, the kids got to choose their pumpkin. It didn't take Logan long to find the perfect one.

This was a great site for little kids. Not too big or too busy. I can see us coming here every year for our pumpkins.

Logan Update

Let me tell you about the coolest 3 1/2-year-old around. Trust me, he really is the coolest.

Logan has grown immensely over the past year. It seems he's figured out that he's the oldest and he's in charge. Although protective of his toys, he is always willing to share with his little sister. One of his favorite activities to is help get Norah after her nap. She'll squeal when he comes in the room. Its so fun to observe their little relationship.

When you first meet Logan, he may act a little shy. He's not too talkative around people he doesn't know. We're working on his making eye contact with other people. He's as sharp as a tack and amazes me with his memory.

He knows his letters and is learning how to write his name. He draws great circles and makes shapes out of anything he can find -cereal, rocks, etc. He loves to count. He's very observant and loves to be outside and explore.

He loves his routines. We sing Book of Mormon Stories every night before bed. When getting kisses, he'll say, "Love ya kiddo. Sweet dreams bud." Thats what Benj has said to him for a long time and now he likes to say it back.

I love those deep brown eyes and light curls. He has a dimple when he smiles. Capturing that on camera is still on my to-do list.

Logan, I'm so glad you are mine. Love love love you!

Norah at 11 Months

Here's a quick glance at our girl at 11 months (I also say quick because it is becoming more and more difficult to take pictures of her.  I can't even imagine when she starts walking.)

 At 11 months you:
-have figured out how to open drawers (and empty any contents inside)
-bite when you get frustrated - usually brother is the victim
-dance by swaying your hips side to side (totally cute and girly)

-enjoy finger foods and eat almost everything. I wish you would drink milk though! It can't taste that much different than what you're used to!
-you love baby Einsteins. That's the only thing you'll hold still for.

-clap for yourself and say "yay". You prefer to say "da-da" over "ma-ma". You burst our eardrums when you scream.

-are not walking yet, but crawling seems to get you anywhere you want to go. Of course you always prefer your mama's arms over anything else.
-enjoy being rocked and sung to. When you're tired you'll suck your thumb and twirl your hair.
You make everyone around you smile. Maybe its because yours is so contagious.

Happy 11 Months Norah!

Farmington Pond

Event though we've lived in this area for over a year, I still don't feel like I know it very well. Our family went on a drive a couple Sundays ago and Benj wanted to go up Farmington Canyon. Come to find out the road was closed (and has been for a while due to a rock slide). We went a different direction and ended up at a quaint duck pond, with picnic area and a wonderful walking path.

Fast forward to this afternoon. We just had to do something outside (hasn't the weather been glorious the past little while? It makes me happy.). We grabbed some day-old hamburger buns and went to feed the ducks.

Once we got out of the car, these geese headed straight for us. It was kind of scary! They are pretty aggressive when it comes to getting food. We went to a little outlook where we could feed them without worrying about being pecked!

We had such a fun little outing. I met this sweet old man who comes almost every day to feed the ducks. He told me where to buy day-old bread and about his grandchildren. When we started to leave, Logan decided to walk by him instead of me and Norah.

Afterwards, we went for a little walk up a path and Logan took over stroller-pushing duties. All was fine until he decided to let go in which Norah immediately started rolling down the hill! Logan laughed and thought it was great fun. I sprinted and caught the stroller before it headed into some bushes. About gave me a heart attack!
We finished this outing with ice cream and it made for a pretty fun afternoon (despite the almost heart attack).

Hope you've been enjoying this beautiful weather too!

Fieldtrip: Firestation

This week Logan's preschool class got to go to the fire station. It was a great place for this class of almost all boys.

Here's the group learning about smoke detectors.

Logan plugging his ears while the smoke detector was going off. He continued to plug his ears for another 5 minutes until I came up and physically took his fingers out of his ears. Wasn't too fond of the noise, as was most of his classmates (I apologize for my blurry pictures - I don't know what was up with my camera).

He got to tour a firetruck.

And got a cool hat after the tour was done. He thought this was the coolest thing ever.

Despite their faces, I think the class had a lot of fun. Although young, I hope Logan remembers what he learned.

I'm a Mormon. I Know It, I Live It, I Love It.

Wasn't General Conference wonderful? Its always wonderful right? This year I took the time to SIT and LISTEN during the Saturday sessions. I usually try to multitask which ends up me half-listening. I will definately try to do this every time from now on. Not only did I get to spend more quality time with my family, I was spiritually fed and prayers were answered. The Lord knows us and the spirit is ready to teach us. We just need to be willing to listen.

I want to be reminded daily of the spirit I felt during conference. I hope that by having quotes, especially by my nightstand and mirror, will help me start and end the day right.

As was said by Elder David A. Bednar:
“To most of us conversion is an ongoing process and not a one-time event that results from a powerful or dramatic experience. Line upon line and precept upon precept, gradually and almost imperceptibly, our motives, our thoughts, our words and our deeds become aligned with the will of God. Conversion unto the Lord requires both persistence and patience.”

In other news, this angel slept through the night which hasn't happened in months. Hopefully we've turned a corner!

Happy Monday everyone!

Norah at 10 Months

So, this girl turned 10 months a couple weeks ago and I'm just now posting, like usual.  In my defense, Norah has had a yucky nose for a while so I've put off taking pictures. Maybe once I get good at editing I'll take them on time.

Anyway, my baby is growing again! How dare her.

She has to be one of the busiest babies ever. I took a ton of pictures and most of them are her crawling away.

She likes to cuddle for a brief second before wiggling away. My favorite is when I'm laying on my back and she'll come over and lay on top of me and suck her thumb. Once again, it lasts about 2 seconds but I'll take what I can get.

This was the best picture I could get of her lying down. About to roll over. We did this about a dozen times.

Norah is a happy girl and talks and squeals all the time. She'll literally scream  when she's super excited. It always makes me laugh. She crawls up the stairs with ease and waits at the top of the stairs (luckily) for me to come get her. She loves her brother so I usually find her wherever he is.
As busy as she is, she's very content in the car and in the stroller. I think because there is so much to see. Norah loves being outside and is the happiness soaking up the sunshine. We've been enjoying the park almost every day during this perfect weather.

She eats almost everything (see below). Her favorites are bananas and pretty much anything sweet, just like her momma. She has 6 teeth (barely), 4 on top and 2 on bottom. Those have not been so fun, but hopefully we're on a little break before the next ones come.

Happy 10 months our busy, happy girl! We love you!
