2 Year Pictures

Logan got his 2 year pictures taken about a month ago and I just got the prints from my photographer. I think they turned out great. Of course if you're a cute kid, you're bound to take cute photos. Here are my favorites:

Can you tell he was happy to be on a bike?

He was in absolute heaven at the park. He got to run, ride a bike, roll on a hill and chase bubbles. Our poor photographer got quite a workout keeping up with him!

Probably my very favorite:

My Pregnancy So Far . . .

I took this belly shot because I want our next baby to have some pregnancy pictures, just like their older brother.

This pregnancy is dragging. I remember it being the same with Logan. Well, the 1st trimester dragged and it picked up the pace by our due date. I'm hoping its the same this time around.

Some notes about this pregnancy:

*I have strong cravings. Like I HAVE to have a taco from Taco Bell. Once I've had my craving, I usually move on. I notice I crave more salty things than sweet.

*I felt the first few flutterings on the 19th. The best feeling ever.

*Nausea is pretty much gone, but I always eat something right before bed because that's when I start feeling yucky.

*My energy is nonexistent. My housework and exercise routine have suffered greatly. I LOVE naptime.

*My hair is doing wacky things. It wants to be more frizzy and more unmanageable - if that's possible.

*I am thankful for my husband who always picks up my slack and does what I demand.

We find out the baby's gender in 2 weeks! I'm thinking another boy. What do you guys think?

5 Years

We celebrated our 5th anniversary on the 13th. It was one of the best days I have had with my husband! Benj surprised me with a couples massage along with a soak in the hot tub and cheesecake.

We went shopping, saw Thor at the IMAX theater and finished our day eating on the patio at Biaggi's, one of our favorite restaurants.

I'm so thankful for a wonderful husband. He is one patient man to put up with his sensitive, emotional, hormonal wife. :)

I love you.

Moms

How blessed I am to have a beautiful mother. She is a wonderful example of patience and love.

Mom and me in 1983

Isn't she gorgeous?

Now she gets to play Grandma. Logan always runs to her for hugs.

My wonderful mother-in-law not only raised an incredible son, but continues to teach and love her precious grandchildren. Logan adores her, as do I.

I'm so very thankful for this little guy, who has shown me what pure joy feels like. I LOVE being a mother.

I love this quote by Jeffrey R. Holland:

“May I say to mothers collectively, in the name of the Lord, you are magnificent. You are doing terrifically well. The very fact that you have been given such a responsibility is everlasting evidence of the trust your Father in Heaven has in you. He knows that your giving birth to a child does not immediately propel you into the circle of the omniscient. If you and your husband will strive to love God and live the gospel yourselves; if you will plead for that guidance and comfort of the Holy Spirit promised to the faithful; if you will go to the temple to both make and claim the promises of the most sacred covenants a woman or man can make in this world; if you will show others, including your children, the same caring, compassionate, forgiving heart you want heaven to show you; if you try your best to be the best parent you can be, you will have done all that a human being can do and all that God expects you to do.”

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Fun With Chalk

Logan got chalk for Christmas and we finally put it to good use. Haven't you loved the last few days? Absolute heaven.

We created some masterpieces on our sidewalk in front of our house. Logan thought rolling around in the chalk would give it an extra special touch.

My artist hard at work.

I couldn't get over his little chalky bum. He got what he wanted: sunshine, running around and getting filthy dirty. I suppose that's something I'll have to get used to this summer. Two-year-old chalk handprints. Like I said, filthy. But oh so cute.
