The Blustery Day
I was actually up with Norah when the power went off, right around 6 am. The house was so eery - all you could hear was the wind howling and random banging. I used the light from Norah's clock to go back down the stairs and took her back in the bed with me. Logan was still sleeping soundly and eventually joined us in the bed around 8. It was at this point that I knew I couldn't keep these young kids in a house with no power or heat. We called Benj's sister, who live in North Salt Lake, and they had power. So Benj followed us for a while in his car and then drove to work.
I was absolutely shocked at the amount of destruction in Centerville and Bountiful. Huge pine trees were completely uprooted. Some had fallen over on people's houses or cars. Crews were everywhere working on broken power lines. It was a mess.
These pictures were taken around our yard.

Big Brother
Pure love, right? He wanted to hold her without my help, but I always had my arm supporting her, just in case.

Tummy Time
This is Norah at 6 days old practicing her tummy time. She was pretty happy for the most part and is already a very strong girl. I didn't get any pictures of her holding her head up - I wasn't fast enough. However, when she's laying down her cheeks squish even more. I love those cheeks.

Halloween 2011
Our festivities included trick or treating at daddy's work. Doesn't he make a dashing pirate?
Logan was literally being a monkey and wouldn't hold still for pictures.
Later that night we hung out with playgroup friends at the ward Trunk-or-Treat.
On Halloween day we went over to Dick's Market for another Trunk-or-Treat. I didn't notice til later that there was a nice smudge on the lens of my camera.
Award goes to Grandma B for getting Logan to smile AND look at the camera.
Fall in the Canyon
We saw some pretty amazing color, but we were losing light fast.
