I Need a Vacation!

I was just looking at a friend's blog and they just finished a 2 month backpacking trip all over Europe. I have had this HUGE urge to go somewhere really exotic and new (meaning out of the country). The last real vacation we went on was Cancun on our honeymoon. I would say 2 years is a long time!





Of course, I have to be realistic and remember how much trips cost and how we have to be responsible about work and other stuff. I just hope I get to go somewhere sooner rather than later.

I suppose I shouldn't complain too much. One think we have planned is a week long trip to the Grand Canyon in June. We get to spend the whole time white-water rafting and camping under the stars. I'm really looking forward to it.

Do It ROCKAPELLA!

Benj and I had a great Valentine's Day weekend. We went to the Bradshaw family condo up in Midway (near Park City). I made chocolate fondue on Friday and we started our "Jason Bourne" trilogy marathon. We had to review the other 2 movies so we could remember what was going on! Saturday we played in the snow for at least 2 hours. Midway had at least 3 feet!!! The condo is right next to a golfcourse, so we did a little exploring and found a fun little hill to play on. We had to be careful not to step in the streams or ponds that were everywhere. On Saturday night we drove down to Provo to watch ROCKAPELLA! I don't know if anyone remembers the show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego but they're the accapella group that made up the theme song. I'm a dork, I know, but they were so fun to watch. The bass player was this tall black guy that was so smooth that all the girls were going crazy! I apologized to Benj after the show for squealing a couple times. :) We both had a great time and were sad to have to work on Monday. We cherish our little weekend escapes. Valentine's Day

I got myself a little Valentine's gift this year. Sometimes I'm a compulsive shopper. I was reading Self magazine and found a perfume sample for EUPHORIA by Calvin Klein. It smells so good. I found it online a day or two later and decided I needed to buy it. I got it in the mail yesterday, and yes, I sprayed it on me as soon as I opened it!

I got Benji a present too. He already knows about it so I guess I wasn't too sneaky. He's been wanting a new cell phone for a while so I got an idea of what he would like and ordered him one. Unfortunately, it came in the mail when he was home but I wasn't. I already ordered him not to look at the return address but he said "he couldn't help it". Now that he knows it's from Verizon, he has a pretty good idea that it's a phone. He doesn't know what it looks like so I'll at least keep that a secret until Thursday!

21 Months
