Norah at 6 Months

Oh Miss Norah, you are such a joy!

I love the way your face lights up when you smile.
You can sit up all by yourself like a big girl - doing the occasional face plant.

You love being outside, your stuffed pink bunny, grabbing and eating your toes, and doing airplanes. I love when you squeal and babble - you're such a little talker. You did this last week in church and were quite the distraction.

I love to study your precious features. Oh those eyes and sweet berry lips. Rosy cheeks and dimples for knuckles. You are the most beautiful baby in the world.

You dislike the end of your baths when mommy washes your hair. You're not fond of staying in the carseat too long. You sometimes get sick of being held and would rather be put on the floor so you can roll and wiggle as you please.

You have started to notice everything. You grab at everything and try to put it in your mouth. You always grab the spoon when mommy is trying to feed you.

Big Brother has taken more of an interest in you lately. I love how you two interact. He loves to help Mommy feed and bathe you. He likes to make sure you have your binkie. He'll even help put your headbands on. Yesterday he pushed you on the swings.

We love you and can't believe you've been in our family for 6 whole months!
Happy Half-a-Year!

Nutella

Nutella is delicious. Instead of dipping his fruit in it, Logan decided to dip his face.

Sometimes I feel like doing the same thing. :)

Being Outside

This kid could live outside. Whenever he starts acting up, we go outside and he's as happy as a clam. I recently read a book called 15 Minutes Outside. I actually found it at the local library. In it is basically a year's worth of outdoor activities and how being outside strengthens family relationships, plus its healthy! We've enjoyed lots of outside time, mostly at this park that's right behind our house.

We also do a lot of sidewalk chalk.

Other things we've done are bubbles, planting and watering our garden, a car wash, bike rides, flying kites, and playing soccer. We also love to read books and have snacks out on the blanket. I hope to continue this tradition every day. Its rejuvenating for both kids and for mom!

Norah's First Cereal

We decided to give Norah some rice cereal for the first time - she was definately ready for it!

Most of it dribbled down her chin, but she opened her mouth like a little bird, wanting more.
I haven't been too adventurous with other food. I think she'll like it though. I forgot how messy baby gets!

We have given Norah these Mum-Mum crackers, which she loves. I love that she can feed herself.

Such a big girl!

Playgroup Fun

I have a lot to catch up on. First off, we've had lots of fun with our little playgroup lately. Here are a few places we've been the last month . . .

We took a visit to Kangaroo Zoo. I have a good grip on Logan's arm in this picture - how dare he not want to take a picture when there are a dozen blow-up toys to climb on!

He started in the little kiddie toy . . .

got a little more brave and figured out how to climb the ladders . . .

eventually graduating to the big "dragon". I was so proud of how brave he was. He must've gone on this at least a dozen times!

We went to the farm and checked out lots of cool animals.

Logan's favorite part was riding the tractor. He talked about it for days afterward.

We went to the Aerospace museum (didn't take a lot of pictures). He loved the airplanes.

And most recently visited the zoo. I thought we needed another trip before it gets too hot.

The carousel is always the favorite. He was one happy boy to ride this thing.

Thanks to our fun playgroup friends for hanging out with us!

Still to post - Norah turns 6 months, Animal Days, Fun Outside, and Adventures in Potty Training. By the way, I know this blog is all about the kids. They really are my life. One of these days I'll start updating my home/craft blog. Its definately fun to have some "me" time too. Thanks for reading!
