This kiddo of mine is 22 months old!
Here are a few Logan-isms:
*He loves to climb on everything. A favorite place is on the couch. Once he is on top, he proceeds to count to 3 and jump in the cushions, rolling and rolling until he ends up on the floor.
*Speaking of counting, his favorite number is "2". He says it perfectly. His other numbers are not quite as clear, although he says some kind of word when he is counting. He likes to count the steps when we go up and down them, when he's about to go down the slide, or anything in his books.
*He gets very jealous when Mommy pays attention to other kids. He'll whine and climb on my lap like he's marking his territory. He's totally a momma's boy.
*He likes to "swim" in the bathtub and splash Mommy. Whenever I react to it he just laughs at me. I admit we've made it kind of a game in which I usually end up wet. I can't help it. I just love to hear his laugh. It is so so cute.
*He is very sneaky and does things he knows he shouldn't do. Examples are opening certain cupboards, trying to play on the computer, and getting into the DVD drawer, fridge, or garbage. I know he's trying to test us, the little smarty. Oh, and he pulls a great innocent face (see picture below).
*His hair is getting a little long. Mommy's fault because his curls are so darn cute. Plus he freaked out a little last time when the razor turned on.
*He notices every airplane and helicopter. Lots of pointing and "ooo-ing" when we're outside.
*He would spend all day every day outside if we'd let him. He's so content that I almost want to let him do it. We can't wait for spring.
*He's interacting with others a lot more now. Usually he observes and squeals with delight. Probably better entertainment than hanging out with Mom all day.
*As you've seen from the recent video, Logan is really good at hand gestures during songs. He can do all the signs for
Wheels on the Bus, Popcorn Popping, Itsy Bitsy Spider, 5 Little Monkeys and Patty Cake. When he does
Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes, he always skips touching his shoulders, knees, and eyes. We're currently working on
When You're Happy and You Know It.*He has a little piano next to his crib. When he wakes up from his nap, I hear him playing with it through his crib bars.
Can't believe he'll be 2 in April. I wish I could bottle up this stage because he's so much fun. Perhaps my favorite is that he slows down long enough to give me kisses now and then.
That better not change.
