Spring is Here

I LOVE spring. And boy, the blossoms on our trees sure are pretty.

Someone else is excited for spring too . . .

She loves to point out the flowers and blossoms too. In the morning as I'm opening the blinds, she's told me, "It's a beautiful day Mom!"

Love that blue-eyed girl.

Happy Spring!

Maxwell Dean at 18 Months

So, I blinked and suddenly this boy isn't a baby anymore.

Suddenly he doesn't need me every moment. He wants to be one of the big kids.

Some things about my Maxwell: he thrives outside. Whenever he's in a grumpy mood, we head to the backyard and he becomes a mellow, happy boy.

This kiddo loves balls. They are the first thing he notices and "ball" was one of his first words.

Speaking of words, he also says Da-da, Ma-ma, No-a (Norah), hi, no, uh-oh, up, mo (more), baa (bear), bubba (bubble) and my favorite da it is (there it is). Most other things come out as da-da, including Logan's name.

Max also makes great animal noises and knows how to point to his nose, eyes, ears and mouth.

His favorite game is peek-a-boo. He loves going to nursery - I get to see him when I go in to do the music. He doesn't have a great attention span and doesn't hold still for very long.
He eats better than the other 2 kids and is growing like a weed! Favorite foods include scrambled eggs, cheese, oranges and blueberries. He takes 1 long afternoon nap and is the best sleeper ever! So thankful for that!

Sunday I took a few photos in his handsome vest and bowtie. Look at that dimple!

Playing peek-a-boo!

This kid can run and climb up anything. He loves getting into the fridge or dishwasher if they're open. He's also crawled into the dryer before. He constantly has bumps and bruises.

He is attached to his teddy bear and blankey. He loves to snuggle with them first thing in the morning, which I love since he's usually always on the move. He also gives great kisses.

He loves our neighbor's cat who visits us frequently.

As busy as this time is, I try to stop and savor these precious moments with these precious children. I feel so blessed.

Happy 18 months baby boy!

The Kids at 18 Months

Max turned 18 months today and I thought it would be fun to do a side-by-side of all 3 kids at this fun stage. Boy, I'm thankful I don't have triplets! :)

I Love You

This Valentine's Day was perfect because I got to spent it with the people I love!

Benj and I made sure to spend some time together (at the Utah game - how is that for romantic?)

The kids got to go to a little Valentine party in the neighborhood and had a great time!

They had a little photo booth set up and had a bunch of props (photo cred by my friend Cassie)

We had lots of treats, including this delicious doughnut from Tasty's.

Logan had tons of fun at school and loved all his valentines!

I'm always excited to see this guy come home from work, but bringing flowers was a big bonus!

Saturday morning we had a yummy breakfast of heart pancakes with strawberries, bacon, eggs and chocolate milk.

Place settings with a little treat. The mailboxes we used through the month to send valentines to each other.

Afterward we took the kids to the zoo. The weather was amazing! We brought our own lunch and had a picnic, complete with heart sandwiches and valentine cupcakes!

This peacock was trying to make the moves on this female. She wasn't too interested.

Happy Valentine's Day!

January Instagram and Phone Photos

Row 1: Evening with Downton Abbey and Milanos, Norah is a Sunbeam, pretty sunset made doing the dishes a bit more pleasant
Row 2: Logan and his new sled, Max's first time playing in the snow, Jamba Juice

In other exciting news, Benj got a new car! The Civic served us well over the last 12 years (it was my college car). It died while Benj was driving home from work. He was stranded on I-215 for a couple hours before a tow truck came.

Norah got her costume for her dance class and about killed me with her cuteness.

Logan and I had a fun date going bowling and having cookies and hot chocolate.
 Cute bathtime baby

A new sweater and manicure for my birthday!

Norah and her completed Frozen puzzle. She is obsessed with all things Frozen lately.
