I was 15 years old and just finishing up my last year of jr. high. It was a hard year and I learned a lot about myself. For those of you who didn't know me during that time, I struggled with self-image and lost 25 lbs . . . not good when I was only 125 to begin with. Friends and family were so vital for me during that time and I couldn't have done it without them. I also got my drivers license right about this time of year. Soon after that I ran into a parked car at Wal-mart (Sheena and Jenelle probably remember that). Ah, good times.

I was 20 and I met my future husband Benj! He was my next door neighbor and we hung out with him and his two friends Tony and Chris. It was a great time, but looking back I wish I had concentrated more on my classes and not spending so many late hours playing games. I was finishing up working for Convergys and was a Sprint Customer Service Specialist. I didn't make it longer than 6 months. It was NOT a fun job. Went to Ohio for the summer and worked as a lifeguard.

We were just moving out of my mother-in-law's house into our own place. I love my mother-in-law but we were so ready to make our own home. Moved into our current place, Pages Place Townhomes. I also was interviewing for my current job at Integrated Wellness. Little did I know how great this job would turn out to be. I love the environment, the people, and using my college skills. Benj, Marcy, and I also took a trip down to Arizona to visit Benj's brother and family. It was a blast. We were almost at our 1 year anniversary and loving every new experience we were having together.

Yesterday
I worked out, cleaned the house, did some grocery shopping. I made a new goal to work out more often and eat better. Threw out leftover cake and pop from the weekend. Went into work around 12:30. After work I went to a Stake Young Women Training. It was wonderful. I have definately learned a lot in my calling. We enjoyed a yummy dinner and a program after. After I got home, I told Benj about my goal but he just wasn't as excited to do it as I was. We finally agreed to work out more together and I told Benj I wouldn't tell him what he should/shouldn't eat. :) Watched American Idol on my computer since our Dish stopped working on Monday. Overall a pretty good day.

I Enjoy:
Pink and white blossoms on the trees, organizing and making lists, a good laugh, snuggling with my hubby, watching a tear-jerker movie, Ghiradelli brownies (I always think of you Annie!), baby's arms reaching for me, the feeling after a hard workout, and enjoying the outdoors.

5 TV Shows:
The Office, American Idol, Ugly Betty, Hell's Kitchen, and anything on HGTV or TLC

5 Things I Hate:
Hate is a strong word, but I really dislike being cold, bad odors, a bad hair day, breaking out, and being bossed around (I'm stubborn . . . I like doing things my way. Right, honey?).

5 Joys in my Life:
The gospel, close family and friends, my husband, gorgeous music, and beautiful surroundings.

Upcoming Events!

It seems like springtime is always a time for change for us. Benj and I are quite busy and there will be a few things coming up in the month that will be quite exciting! First, and most important . . .


Benji turns 24 tomorrow! I just realized I may have scared everyone with a "we're expecting" announcement. Not the case . . . . at least not yet! This is a picture of Benj when he was only a few months old. I won't have to put up with as much teasing since he'll only be a year younger instead of two. My husband is lucky he's so cute. I hope our kids are as cute as he is!



I surprised Benj with tickets to the Jazz Playoffs on April 26th against Houston! He doesn't know yet so keep it secret (at least til tomorrow). I have to say the Kyle Korver is becoming one of my favorite players.



Benj and I will be celebrating our 2-year anniversary on May 13th! Time flies when you're having fun! We'll be spending the weekend at the Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake and going to the Cheesecake Factory. Can't wait!



We'll be moving into our new apartment on May 3rd. It's only around the corner from where we live now and we'll still be in the same ward. Our house is full of boxes. I hope to get rid of half of it so we don't have so much stuff! The reason we're moving into somethings smaller is because . . .

Benj will start going to school full-time starting in May and will be done by next summer! We're both anticipating graduation and no more school (at least for the while)!

Easter!

Other news is that we've decided that Benj will start going to school full time so he can graduate in a year instead of two! That means we have to move . . . I'm sad to leave our cute townhome but the sacrifice will be worth it. We found an apartment that is still in our ward. It's great because we already know the neighbors! We'll be moving May 3rd. :)

Les Miserables

We're going to LES MISERABLES! Last year my husband and I went to St. George and Zion National Park. I've never seen it more beautiful. If you go, visit in October (see the pic of my cute hubby below). Anyway, while we were in St. George we went to the Tuacahn Theater, which is in Snow Canyon. It is the coolest theater ever because it is outdoors and the red rock walls are in the background. We saw Thriller last year, and now Les Mis is playing! I immediately called Benj and my family to see if they wanted to come with us! So now we have a group of seven coming with us. The only exception is my little bro Andy, who will most likely be in the mission field during that time. Yay Andy!

Spring is coming . . . sometime.

By the way, we have had very pleasant weather the past few days and for that I am thankful. It did storm later today but I don't think it will last long. Spring is just around the corner!
